Hi All,
I have tried an mp4 and webm video for our home page. Both work OK using Google Chrome, but I cannot get them to display using IE or Edge. I just get the ‘loading’ icon for the webm video and a message ‘cannot load component’ (or similar message) when I use the mp4.
Also, since updating WordPress to v4.5.3 yesterday, the site seems painfully slow?
Can you help please?
Thanks

NeilJune 28, 2016 at 12:14 pm #654153Hi,
If you’re going to upload mp4 format video, make sure that the compression is H.264. And webm is not supported by default. The client should install a software. https://www.webmproject.org/ie/
Did you try third party hosts like youtube ?

IsmaelJune 28, 2016 at 2:30 pm #654223Hi Ismael,
All of our MP4 video’s are using H.264? We uploaded a webm video to see if this solved the issue when using IE or Edge.
Neither of the above formats are working when using the IE browser. All we see is the circle of dots (i.e. file loading) icon?
When we use MP4 video on the homepage using IE, we see ‘Error Loading this resource’ message, top left of the screen and the loading icon. It does not play the video.
Please can you help?
Regards
