I am using WPML to translate my home page. My default language is English. When I click on the Spanish translation version, my home page reverts to a different page version. Can you help me fix this please? Thank you!

July 19, 2021 at 7:47 am #1310689Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. You need to set your front page for each language in the theme option, simply click the language flags in the top left of the screen to change language. Each page has to be edited individually as well.
If the settings are not working for the language flags, then please try this in Quick CSS to remove them:
#avia-menu li.av-language-switch-item { display: none; }
Best regards,
RikardJuly 19, 2021 at 6:05 pm #1310769I did manage to get rid of the flags – thank you. However I am still having an issue with the home page. I selected the home page in the Spanish version. However for some reason, Enfold is selecting a completely different version of the home page when it switches to Spanish. How can I get it to use the same version as the English version but just translate it?
July 20, 2021 at 12:52 pm #1310874Hi,
Thanks for the update. It’s not possible to have the same page for different languages unfortunately, they need to be created separately. Otherwise you couldn’t have different designs for the two pages. If you want to copy the shortcode from the English version, then you can enable debug mode, which will enable you to see the layout builder shortcodes: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode
Best regards,
RikardJuly 20, 2021 at 6:06 pm #1310918I figured this out with the WPML tech support. This ticket can be closed. Thank you!
