    Hello support,

    My site https://phlebotomyu.com/ is not indexing with the Enfold theme. I’ve confirmed with my host that the custom robots.txt file from the root directory into the site’s _wpeprivate directory (they set us up on a private server) and I’ve created a staging site to test. I am running a chrome developer tools network test as well as this validator tool to check the status of the site.

    On the staging site, I disabled all plugins and ran the test with the Enfold theme active – 404 on the home page remains.

    In the same environment, I then switched to the Twenty Seventeen theme, ran the test and I received a 200 (as shown in the link above of the staging site).

    I’ve narrowed it down to the Enfold theme – Are there files that might cause this conflict?

    Hey suncityadvising,

    Are you using the custom 404 page functionality in the theme? If so then please try to turn that off. If that is not the case then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

    Custom 404 settings were causing the issue. I suggest adding a notification above this field warning people that it may cause the selected page to no longer be indexed.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update and sorry for the problem. We’ve had some problems with that functionality, it will be fixed in a future release.
