Tagged: slug
Hi there,
We are having an issue with our link slug (or at least it appears to be an issue). It’s appending /home on the end of the root domain: https://expresswriters.com/home
It redirects to the home page: https://expresswriters.com/ , but not sure if it’s an SEO issue.
How can I fix this? Should I fix it? Is it hurting anything?

Hi j1980mac!
Where are you finding this link? Is it from a page you have created and set to display as your frontpage in Dashboard > Enfold > Theme Options? Or in Dashboard > Settings > Reading?
If so then that is the expected behaviour. You do not need to change it.
Cheers!
Elliott
Elliott,
Yes, that’s correct. I had to name it something. But I’ve had themes in the past where it left my home page without a slug, and since finally going live, I’ve seen the search results as “home” being displayed like it is. So if I were to want my home page to display: https://expresswriters.com, what would I need to do?
Thanks,
Josh
Hi!
I’m sorry but I’m not sure I understand. Your “homepage” is always going to be whatever you set in Dashboard > Settings > General > Site URL. Whenever you set a frontpage in Dashboard > Enfold > Theme Options it does not change your URL at all, it just serves up some content for your homepage.
Best regards,
Elliott
Elliott,
I figured it out by also enabling “Home” in my reading settings. I don’t know how I overlooked this.
Thanks,
Josh
