New to wordpress. I hired someone to create my wedding photography – image heavy website site. Using Enfold/Enfold Child theme. My SEO company is complaining about the Google Page Insights score. Using Avia Layout Builder to create a masonry home page.
Did not originally use a CDN but switched to it hoping it would help. It did not. We got this same “ghost” image file before CDN and still after CDN.When I search for one of these files to compress and resize… it is not in my media library. i.e. 014_HOME-705×467.jpg
Here is the list of all the files that do not exist in my media library that I need to find.

There is an CDN been used for the images, that is why you can not convert them.

BasilisThanks for your reply but… as I said in the original post….. this was an issue before we switched to CDN. …….So switched to it hoping it would resolve this issue. It did not. It created the same result pre-CDN and now with the current CDN.

I also tested a scenario… I changed the home page without the masonry images… and got a score of 60. Put them back in and get a score of 20.
I think it is important to note that this definitely has something to do with using masonry on the first page (Home page)… because I use the masonry option throughout my website and it is not causing the same problem on any of the other galleries.

I ran the url in the google pagespeed insights again and most of the images listed under the “Optimize the following images” are actually there:

http://southeast.rickdeanphotogra.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/plugins/instagram-feed/img/loader.png.. except for the instagram images. Did you use an instagram plugin?

IsmaelPlease can we focus on the problem. none of the image files that are of this naming scheme: ###_HOME-705×470.jpg or ###_HOME-470×705.jpg are in the media gallery. The original image is – ###_HOME.jpg. It is the 60 files that all have the 470×705 or similar that are the problem.
I can deal with the instagram….. please help me find why these specific image files are created and yet can not be found anywhere. Are they thumbnails that can not be optimized? are they some specially coded image file that is specific to the home page?

Look for the list of images under “Optimize the following images”. You won’t find any of the images that are used to be in the list.UPDATE: My bad. I’m looking on the mobile test. Yeah.. I can see the images now but they are not ghost images. They are actually in the uploads folder. Example:
