I have had several issues after WordPress was updated to version 5. We are now on 5.1.1 and Enfold 4.5.4 and the issues remain.
I am facing 2 main issues:
1) When making the slightest change to any text on the home page, only the top text box (and contents) remain. All text/textboxes/elements below disappear after updating the page. Even just saving the changes – leaving the page (in WP admin) – and subsequently visiting the page again to further edit, will cause the text/textboxes/elements below the top one to disappear. Seemingly, the only change that will not cause the elements to disappear, is changing a background picture.
Luckily, I have been able to duplicate/back up the page (using Duplicate Page) before I have tried to make any changes.
2) The Preview function no longer works. We have to update/publish pages, before being able to see the changes.
Needless to say, this is a major issue, as we are unable to update the home page. Oddly, we seem to able to edit/update all other pages than the home page, without any issues.
I have read various posts on this forum and tried various suggestions, with no positive results. I have tried:
– properly closing tags like <b></b>
– turning off plug-ins
– updated plug-ins, WordPress, Enfold, etc.
– clearing cache, using WP Super CacheAll to no avail.
Please note that I am just a basic user, not a coder. Therefore I would appreciate that you communicate in layman’s terms, as much as possible. Swift help would be appreciated as our home page has been hopelessly out of date for months now and needs to be updated ASAP.
Thanks.

March 21, 2019 at 9:45 pm #1081576Hi irasnordic,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

Thanks for the update.
1.) Make sure that there are no unclosed html tags in the page. These tags if left unclosed can cause the builder to erase the subsequent content.
2.) Set the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor to “Classic Editor” instead of the new block editor. And disable the plugins temporarily.
Best regards,

Please try to rebuild the page and see if the issue persists there.
Best regards,
