    Hello!

I would like to have a top level menu item remain highlighted while a visitor is viewing a number of pages in a collection associated with that menu item.

For example, if I have this main menu setup:

    Home Employees About Contact

When you click on Employees link it will bring up a page with a portfolio of all employee and highlight the Employees menu item. What I need in addition is for the Employees menu item to be highlighted while the visitor is on any of the individual employee pages. So if you click on Joe Smith from the employees overview page I want the Employees menu item to remain highlighted showing that you are still in the Employees area of the website.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!
    Keith

    Hey Keith!

You would have to use pages and child pages for that. WordPress doesn’t give any menu classes for posts yet and it would take a lot of time and code to add that in so it would have to be considered custom work.

You could try hiring a freelancer to help you out.
