    Hi,

    When I click on an element/item on the navigation menu (the menu displayed in the header) it brings me correctly to the linked page/anchored section;
    However, such an item in the navigation menu is not highlighted, in the sense that the user is not acknowledged on which page of the website he/she currently is.

    I’d like to have the specific item/element in the navigation menu highlighted (maybe simply having the background a bit darker or the text in another color) when the user is on such a specific page so that the user knows where he/she is.

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Did you apply the anchors or id attribute to the color sections? The theme should automatically apply an active state to the active menu item linking to an anchor. You can find this behavior in the following demo.
