Hi,
I have downloaded WPforms lite and created my first contact Form. When I try to add it in the advanced layout editor I cannot find it. However, when I switch to default layout editor the form is present under the widget menu. When I try to change back into the advanced. layout the following message displays: “you got content in your layout editor that can’t be convert to layout builder content, click OK if you want to proceed and lose this content”
Is there anyway i can make it works? both my WordPress and the plug in are the latest versions, while I purchased the theme last May.
Ps. I’m a newbie so please if it requires coding try to be as clear as possible! :)
thanks for the reply

Where can we see and reproduce the problem you are having? We are not familiar with the plugin in question unfortunately.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 26, 2020 at 11:11 am #1263229oh, I though I saw someone talking about WPforms in the forum, albeit not really the same problem.
Shall I give you access to my website? so you can see it?Please advice
Matteo.

Yes, please post admin WordPress login details to your site in private, so that we can have a closer look. Also, how exactly are you adding the form to your layout?

I’m adding the form in Enfold using te default layout, because once i switch into the advanced one it disappears!

Thanks for that, I think you forgot to include a URL to your site though? Also please include step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem you are having.

RikardDecember 1, 2020 at 11:09 am #1264181Hi Rikard,
Sorry my bad I’ve included it now.In my wordpress editor I created a draft test page for you to see, the page is called WTforms Test page.
In the WPforms test page I have created for you, I’ve left the WPforms and right under it there is the image of the short code when I switched layout mode from Default to Advanced. These are the instruction of what I did step by step:
– Create a new page using the advanced layout from the Enfolds theme.
– I’m clicking to Plugins Addition (where the WTforms should be). Its nothing there.
– I then switch to default editor mode.
– I open the menu and go to widgets, there i can find WPforms plugin, i click that and add it to the page.
– I test the page and there is the contact form created with the WTforms plugin.
– I check the short code:[av_one_full first min_height='' vertical_alignment='' space='' row_boxshadow='' row_boxshadow_color='' row_boxshadow_width='10' custom_margin='' margin='0px' mobile_breaking='' border='' border_color='' radius='0px' padding='0px' column_boxshadow='' column_boxshadow_color='' column_boxshadow_width='10' background='bg_color' background_color='' background_gradient_color1='' background_gradient_color2='' background_gradient_direction='vertical' src='' background_position='top left' background_repeat='no-repeat' highlight='' highlight_size='' animation='' link='' linktarget='' link_hover='' title_attr='' alt_attr='' mobile_display='' id='' custom_class='' aria_label='' av_uid=''] [av_textblock size='' av-medium-font-size='' av-small-font-size='' av-mini-font-size='' font_color='' color='' id='' custom_class='' av_uid='av-ki5qjgpg' admin_preview_bg=''] Here is the WTforms plugin to be filled [/av_textblock] [/av_one_full]
– When I switch to advanced layout the form disappear both in the layout editor AND in the page preview.
I hope my explanation is more clear now.
Matteo.
December 2, 2020 at 6:15 am #1264417Hi Matteo,
Thanks for that. I still don’t fully understand the problem though, as Enfold has no element for the plugin in question. It won’t appear under Plugins Addition in the Layout Builder in other words. Isn’t there a shortcode you can use to generate the form? I know Contact Form 7 works that way for example. If you are able to use it in a widget then you can try to use the Widget Area element.

Ok thanks, I’m a newbie in coding and programming. Perhaps I was confused thinking this plugin could work with Enfold and was trying to make it work, while it’s clear it doesn’t.Thank you for the suggestion I’ll see if contact form 7 will do better.
best regards,
Matteo.
December 3, 2020 at 6:29 am #1264679Hi Matteo,
Thanks for the update. I would guess that the plugin you are trying to use will work with the theme, but like I said, there is not specific element for it in the Layout Builder. Contact form 7 doesn’t have that either, but I know that you can copy shortcode from Contact form 7 which would work in a code or text block element. Doesn’t your current contact form plugin have that option, or something similar?
Best regards,
Rikard -
