Hi, I need to create a child theme from existing ecommerce site (url in private); it was based on Enfold Shop Demo and Woocommerce. Before make it, are correct this process step by step?
1) Update all and make backup obviously;
2) Create a child theme following this guide http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/; not activate it again;
3) Import Enfold shop Demo in a child theme? (Question);
4) Export Theme Settings of theme parent in a file from the section ”Theme option” of Enfold;
5) Import that file in a child theme from same ”Theme option” of Enfold;
6) Import Wp DB in theme child with plugin “wp migrate db pro” free version (is this necessary?);
7) Activate Child Theme.Are correct these steps and order of their?
Any advice about woocommerce for not lose previous order?
Any advice about all product, product images and actual amount of product in stock?Thanks for all

Thank you for using our theme.
In a CMS like WordPress themes are only the appearance, that means the following steps should do to switch to Enfold child theme:
1) Update all and make backup – gives you the chance for a fallback
2) Upload Enfold Child in the theme folder
3) Acticate Enfold Child Theme
4) Goto Dashboard -> Enfold Child -> Import/Export and click button “Import parent theme settings”
5) From now on make your changes in the option settings in the child theme.That’s it.
As long as you did not make any changes in the core theme files of Enfold everything should work as before.
You can switch back to the parent theme any time you want.
Changes to the options settings are limited to the theme where you made them.
Hope, this helps you.
Best regards,

YigitOctober 16, 2017 at 1:42 pm #864797Yes Yigit, only a question: from now, if I’ll have to add a new css modification in child theme, is best to do it in quick Css section or in style.css?
Thanks again
RegardsOctober 16, 2017 at 9:57 pm #864965Hi,
That is totally up to you. However in case you are using/will use WPML and want to apply custom CSS code for all languages, you should add the code to style.css file :)
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Best regards,
YigitOctober 17, 2017 at 12:19 pm #865254Hi,
no, I don’t use for now Wpml, so I can choose between the two methods.
Thank you again.
