    Hi
    I have been using Enfold for years now with a few clients. Fantastic Theme.
    I have been working on this website for a client under a subfolder. I needed to upgrade the theme from 4.3 to the current verions. I have followed the tutorials on your support site about updating the theme manually as it won’t do it automalically or through wordpress. So I uploaded the new enfold files folder using FTP to replace the old enfold folder on my server. But then the website broke and I can not view the website. I get a message saying “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    I can not login to the admin area either.

    I am really freaking out as I am under a very tight schedule wit the client and I still need to work on it.

    I am sending you the logins and error email message in the Pivate Content Area.

    Please kindly help as I have seen other people on the forum having the same issue and I couldn;t get information fron support answers.

    Hey Emmygraph,

    Thanks for the details, I tried logging in using the recovery mode link but the details don’t work unfortunately. Do you have a backup of the site? In that case I think it would be a good idea to maybe restore it and work from there. Also, do you know which version of PHP you are running? We recommend 7.1 or higher.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply, Not sure what you mean by the details don’t work I double checked the logins and I can login to the FTP account. Please help. I am running PHP 7.2.

    DO I need to fix one of the codes in the functions.php file. the error log mention that.
