Hello,
Wordpress is giving me the following message about Enfold. I am using a custom child theme built on Enfold.
Name Description
Enfold Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
I have tried downloading the updated, newest Enfold theme and installing it, but WordPress shows “WordPress Failure Notice” in the tab and asks me “Are you sure you want to do this?” If I click “Please try again”, it just routes me to the Add Themes page again, but it has not fixed Enfold.
Please do let me know how to fix this problem. I believe it may be causing other issues. I have an Advanced Layer Slider with an image in it that stopped displaying the image after I updated WordPress.
Thank you for your help!
Regards,
Sudha
Hi Sudha!
Please refer to this post and upload the theme via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/install-enfold-theme-with-ftp/
You can download pre-built child theme here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/

Hi Yigit!
Thanks so much. I was able to upload the newest updated Enfold theme via FTP, but I am still getting the same broken theme error message. I do not need a pre-built child theme; I already have a custom child theme. Do you know how else I can make that error go away?
Thanks so much again.

Sudha
Hey!
You seem to have Enfold version 3.3 installed on your server as well. Please go to wp-content/themes/ and remove it and keep the latest version 3.5.2 and that should solve the issue :)
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi Yigit and Jordan!
Thank you both so much. I was able to remove the old version of Enfold and that has removed the “Broken Theme” error message. Many thanks for your immensely speedy, kind and helpful support!
Please do consider this matter closed.
Best regards,
Sudha
