Hey
I just realized my topic was shut down by some else’s breaking into my thread here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fullscreen-slider-image-size-error/ ??I’d really need some help with this problem – getting frustrated – I have regenerated thumbnails for my fullscreen slider at 1310x800px and have chosen “original size” for the slider, but it’s displaying at a different size – see: http://andesworldtravel.com/home-test-2/ – they should look more like this page but with parallax: http://andesworldtravel.com/home-awt/
I don’t see what it set wrong – unless it’s not allowed to have the fullscreen slider under 1500px wide?
I hope you can help with this as we are about to launch this weekend

It sounds like your wanting to use the fullwidth easy slider instead of the fullscreen slider. With the boxed layout your using the fullwidth easy slider will make more sense and the images will not be zoomed in / stretched to fit the fullscreen as with the fullscreen slider.

Elliottthe second link there was done in the fullscreen easy slider- but that doesn’t have the parallax option, right? is there a way to do it with parallax that size? Also now since I regenerated my extra-large size (which was originally 1500×1500?) I only have size options for 1310×1310 and “original size” which is not working in my case.

The images in the fullscreen slider items are set as background and the background-size property is set to “cover”. The “cover” tells the browser to make sure the image always covers the entire container. This is useful if you don’t want to see distorted images. However, it will have to stretch the image or cut a little bit off one of the edges to keep its proportion. The fullwidth easy slider on other side contains the image and set it’s height proportional to the width of the image so you will be able to see the whole image. Although if you have a fairly tall image, parts of it will go below the fold. Unfortunately, you can’t set the full width easy slider to have a parallax effect because the images are not set as background unlike in the fullscreen slider.
Point is, there’s no way to contain the whole image on a full screen slider without distorting the images. You have to choose between a full screen slider with parallax which enables the whole slider to be visible above the fold or the full width easy slider that contains and display the whole image without the parallax effect. You can also try the layer slider or the revolution slider plugin but I think you will encounter the same issue.
