I am learning this as I go along by following various tutorials online. I have just seen on a tutorial that you can download demos and I thought that might help me understand some of the formatting that I am struggling with right now. So I downloaded it thinking it would just load as a separate page and that I could then copy the way it was formatted but it has taken over my whole site?? I can see the content on my pages is still there but when you view my website all you see is the demo page. I hope you can help.
June 16, 2017 at 6:53 am #808845Hey callysykes,
Yes, that is what happens if you import a demo. I’m not sure what you need help with though? If you only want to import individual pages then we can help you out with that.

RikardJune 16, 2017 at 6:42 pm #809041Hi Rikard my issue is now all I can see when I Iook at my website is the enfold page I have downloaded. All the content I have written is in the admin back side of the website but not when I view the client facing side if you see what I mean.
Is there a way I can download individual pages so I can see how they work but they sit as individual pages not messing with the rest of my site?
Can you tell me how to get rid of the download without loosing all of my content so far- thank you so much for you help :-)June 17, 2017 at 11:33 am #809271Hi,
If you want to get rid of the demo content then I think you will have to delete it manually in the backend, that is your safest option.
You can import separate pages if you enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, we can then give you the shortcodes for each page if you link to them here.

RikardJune 17, 2017 at 8:43 pm #809372agh could you explain to me how I can delete it in the back end please?
June 18, 2017 at 7:16 am #809471Hi,
It depends on what you want to delete? The demo imports theme settings, images, pages and posts. You can go to each section individually in WordPress and delete what you like there.

RikardJune 19, 2017 at 9:03 pm #809967Hi Rikard
I think at this point I just want to get rid of the demo completely so all the theme settings images, pages and posts. I can’t see where I can delete them- I can’t see them? I’m stuck as all I can see is the downloaded demo on all pages and I just can’t work out how to get rid of it.
Many Thanks
CallyJune 20, 2017 at 6:00 am #810151Hi,
You can delete the pages imported from the demo going to Dashboard > Pages > and hovering the mouse over the page title that you want to remove – check here: http://prntscr.com/flu9uq – with this, this page won`t appear anymore.
The same steps will be useful to the posts and the images, you can delete going to Dashboard > Media > selecting the media and deleting clicking here: http://prntscr.com/flua94

John TorvikJune 20, 2017 at 6:49 pm #810585Hi John
the problem is all the pages have my content (that I need) in them but when I look at my website all I see is the demo page on every page. I can’t see the demo anywhere in the dashboard for me to delete it?Many thanks
CallyJune 21, 2017 at 6:41 am #810764Hi,
I’m having problems understanding what you are looking to do, you say that the demo pages have your content on them, then they are not demo pages are they? Do you mean that you want a different look to your site? If so then you can change most things in the theme option. If that is not what you are looking for then please try to explain a bit further and post screenshot of what you want to change.

RikardJune 22, 2017 at 1:23 am #811261Hi Rikard
Sorry if I’m not explaining myself clearly. When I look at my website http://www.capturedbycally.com all you see on all the pages is the enfold demo page that I downloaded none of my content shows. I can see that my content is still there in the wordpress dashboard but I can’t work out how to make that show and get rid of the enfold page. Does that make sense?
June 22, 2017 at 5:29 am #811322Hi!
I think the best thing to do is put all the demo pages as Drafts so that you can use them as reference and possibly copy how they’re set up. And then, you’ll need to restore your website to how it was before you imported the demo. On your Dashboard, please do to Settings > Reading > and set Front Page displays to your real homepage. You will also have to make sure that your menus are back to your original set-up (Appearance >Menus), as well as your widgets (Appearance > Widgets).
I hope that’s clear and helpful!
By the way, I tried logging in using the login credentials you gave us, but they don’t work for me. Can you check them, please?Best regards,
SarahJune 22, 2017 at 5:41 am #811323Hi Sarah
The problem I have is I can’t see the demo pages in the dashboard page view side??? all the pages have my content on the dashboard but when I look at the public side of my website it just shows the demo pages but I can’t see where to delete them.
I have tried restoring to an old version before I downloaded the demo but it doesn’t get rid of the demo pages????
Sorry the password was changed – I have copied the new one below.
I have a day tomorrow to spend trying to finish this website off before I have to deactivate my old one I was really hoping to get this sorted as I haven’t been able to do anything for a few days now.
June 22, 2017 at 6:01 am #811324Hi!
Thank you for the login. I’ve made some changes to your site to get you started:
– The demo page you’ll want to hide was entitled Home. I changed it to Enfold Home so that it’s easily distinguishable. I’ve set Enfold Home to be a Draft.
– removed the Private setting to what I assumed was the real homepage; set it as the homepage in Enfold > Theme Options > Frontpage settingsFrom here, you’ll need to edit the menu and other widgets you wish to change, and adjust General/Advanced Styling to fit your preferences. You may also disable the Page Preloading in Enfold > Theme Options > Frontpage settings.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you need further help.

SarahJune 22, 2017 at 6:11 am #811326thank Sarah I’m still so confused sorry- so I deleted the homepage that you renamed and I could see how to stop the page preloading but when I click on my portfolio page for example- I have uploaded 4 different galleries and it doesn’t show that page anymore it just shows the home page. There is content on most of my pages in the backend but I can’t make it visible- does that make sense?
June 22, 2017 at 7:26 am #811348Hi,
This was because the menu was still the demo menu. I’ve gone ahead and changed it in Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations.
