This is my second thread asking for help with this issue and its been days since I posted the first thread with no reply. Please, this is urgent – site is down.

I previously added a widget in the header following the links on this site. I added the code to functions.php, created a header widget area, added an image. All worked fine with a little css help from support to get it situated correctly.

I did not have a child theme set up from the start and didn’t want to do it after the site was configured. I just expected to add the code to functions.php when I update the theme. The theme was just updated and I tried to do this. The code has now broken my site.

So either the code is wrong or I’m making a mistake in adding it to the functions.php file. I’ve tried both codes, the regular and the one for menu below header area – I’m not really sure which one I need, but neither work and both break the site. My login is below and I’ve left the code in place with the site in maintenance mode.

I urgently need some help – please look at the code in place and let me know if I did something wrong. If not, please advise how to correct this. I will make detailed notes for all future upgrades, but for now I have no idea how to correct this.

FYI, removing the code makes the site work again fine – so I know the issue is with the code added.

    Thanks,
    Barry

I cannot see any issues with your website now. If you have any, please stick to one topic so we can help you better.
