Tagged: site hacked
Last week I reached out for assistance our website that was hacked. The mobile header had cialis ad running on it. Yagit was able to go into the site and find the code and fix it. Now we are having even more issues with the theme. The pages beyond the homepage are not displaying even though the content is there in the wordpress dashboard. How can we remove the malicious code that is apparently left on the site. I have never had a site hacked before like this and i am unsure of what to do.. please advise
Hey Jenn!
The issue you are having right now doesn’t necessarily has to be related to malicious code. It seems that the pretty links are not working correctly, refer to this article on how to fix that:

I do not understand. Can you explain why this would be the issue all of a sudden? The current permalink setup is (for example): http://www.creativeisi.com/services/ Even when simply viewing the page in editor mode, it is not displaying. The content is there in the WYSIWYG but not showing up when hitting “view page”
Does it gets fixed if you re-set the Permalinks settings to default (no pretty links)?
it seemed to have fix it for now.. can you tell me why that may have happened?
i would like to go back to the “pretty links” vs page ids?
Do you have FTP access? check if there is a .htaccess file at the root of your installation.

Josue
I do not have access to the FTP but I can ask someone to get me access. Is that a corrupt file I should be looking for?
Not necessarily corrupt but missing or with the wrong permissions, look for the .htaccess file at the root of your installation. If you could grant me a temporary FTP account i can check it for you.

Josue
