    Hi there,

We’re using the headline rotator for the homepage of our new site. We’re finding that if we navigate to internal pages and then come back to the homepage, the rotating words get “garbled” – they’re stacking on one another. See screen shot. Using more current version of Safari on Mac.

This should say Acupuncture for Stress (or one Acupuncture for Wellbeing, or Acupuncture for Menopause – but not all three)

    Help!

    Hi jaimemerz,

It is working in FF and Chrome on a Linux machine. Will need to check on a Mac later.

    Best regards,

Thanks! I look forward to learning more about what you find out. We’ve had two people experience the issue now. Both on the latest version of Safari. Seems to happen after the rotator has completed one full rotation.

    Hi,

We can’t reproduce the issue on Chrome/Opera Windows 7. Do you see any script error in the browser console of Safari?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I was able to recreate the error—see the first two screenshots. I’ve only ever seen it after leaving the homepage open for a few minutes. The third screenshot is from Safari’s browser console.

Can you try leaving the browser open for 2 min and see if the error pops up for you?

    Hi jaimemerz,

I left it running for more than 2mins and I did not see the issue.

    Hi madhur_ramani,

Could you please give us a link to your website, we need more context to be able to help you.

    Hi Victoria,

You can see this problem here: https://peakscale.io

Open the above link in a tab in Safari Mac OS 10.14.5, navigate to another tab for a minute or two, and then come back to the original tab. You can see the screenshots here:

    Hi Madhur,

This can very much be the Safari bug when JavaScript does not get proper isolated context for all tabs, I am not sure we can help you with this one.

I’ll ask my colleagues to have a look.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hey,

I checked your website on Safari version 12.0. I loaded your homepage then navigated to About page and left it open for about 6 minutes and then navigated back to your homepage and kept it open for 5 minutes but headline rotator worked fine on my end. I tried opening About page in a new tab but that did not make any difference.

We have not made any changes on headline rotator element for a while now therefore i think some changes in Safari might have caused the issue but since we cannot reproduce while you can, we might be using different versions of Safari. Could you please open Safari, click Safari > About Safari and check exact version of Safari you are using?

    Cheers!

    Hi Yigit,
The Safari version is 12.1.1 (14607.2.6.1.1).
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I tested your page with Safari v12.03 (14606.4.5) and I found no issues
I then updated to v12.1.1 (14607.2.6.1.1) and again couldn’t reproduce the error.
I was hoping that the error would occur so we could isolate the issue to the Safari version, but perhaps Yigit will find something on his end and this test helps.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Hi. I have issued also with the headline rotator.

I was trying to edit on Safari – and then switched over to Google Chrome, thinking that maybe the issue is with Safari not compatible for some programs. But…alas…I have the exact same problem on Google Chrome as well.

I am trying to edit the text on the headliner and other areas of text on headline rotator.

#1 – the headline rotator is NOT allowing for spaces between words. In other words – if my main headline (company name) is made up of more than one word (need spaces between the words) – then it runs all together as if one word. If I want to implement spaces between the words, I have to put in something else – like dash (-), or star (*), or forward slant (/) or period(.) or something else to indicate separate words.

#2 – the headline rotator is NOT accepting or willing to type the letter “e” “E”…capital, small case – all the same. Simply will NOT type letter “e”. Dunno about other letters yet – haven’t gotten that far.

Really disgusting. I’m going to see if there is another solution I can find – maybe a plugin to take care of this mess. Not really depending that anyone will respond to my complaint here fast enough for me to remedy it…just felt the need to get this out there.

    Hi Balqees,

    Thanks for sharing.

1- I tried to reproduce the issue on my local installation however it seems to be working fine on my end. Please see screenshots here – https://imgur.com/a/EjbqLQt

2- This is also not the case on my local installation. As you can see in screenshots, there are letter E in my test element. Which version of Enfold and WordPress are you using? Have you tried de-activating all active plugins and checked if that helps?

    Best regards,
    Yigit
