February 22, 2018 at 10:21 pm #916370Thanks but that is not the problem.
Pls check private content for image to illustrate it ;-)

Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Also please point out where we can see the problem.

RikardFebruary 23, 2018 at 10:57 am #916574This reply has been marked as private.February 23, 2018 at 1:11 pm #916638on the most cases the signs are transfered via visual mode to something else for example as you can see here in this line
i typed the&
and it will be transformed to& with ;
see what input field made of it or exclamation marks see difference “abc” and"abc"
same with simple exclamation marks etc.February 23, 2018 at 8:25 pm #916848February 25, 2018 at 1:13 pm #917354Hej, any news? Could you check it?
Thanks,
DirkFebruary 25, 2018 at 7:16 pm #917521February 25, 2018 at 7:20 pm #917524Sorry, I am not stupid, not a beginner nor a noob. What he is prposing has nothing to do with my problem that suddenly with longer and more complex tables part of the avia code is not rendered. Did you even checked it?
cheers,
DirkFebruary 25, 2018 at 8:36 pm #917580Sorry guys, but I have to get rid of this.
1) Guennie CANNOT really say something about my problem, because he simply doesn’t see the “prive infos” ergo has not all the needed informations.
2) Not always assume that a user is a total beginner, what HTML entities are I should know as a studied computer scientist and apart from that I take care of some more then only one customers with the licensed Enfold-Theme so believe me I know the theme a bit. And doing a very big damn table to just see the parsing/rendering/whatever gets broken is ******* haha …
3) First of all look at what a user posts exactly and then weed out.The website has to go live tomorrow so I will have to remove the broken Avia code later. Will be create a test article with it called Test. It would be great if this problem were to be taken seriously, as I have often experienced over the years of using the Enfold Theme that these problems suddenly arise in more complex matters. Somehow if there’s a closing-tag missing somewhere. Please check the privatly posted code for tag problems or whatever, the attached picture and the website.
Thank you & sorry for this direct writing but I am a bit ****** ;-).
cheers,
dirk
February 26, 2018 at 9:33 am #917704Hi dirk,
The page content does not render at all on my side on the test page. It looks like some character is breaking the rendering. Did you just copy the shortcodes from the other page?
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 26, 2018 at 10:09 am #917725Hello Victoria,
thanks for your reply. The “base” is copied but that is not the problem as it worked fine until working to the end of the big, long table (and it works for lot’s of other pages before). AND it does not got cured when I deleted e.g. the last made parts of the table. If it’s broken it stays broken ( and my feeling is there is something with tables). As I said it is not the first time I have this with enfold but this time I care because of this damn long table … haha … if it’s a invalid character it should be easy for you to identfy? I allready checked for e.g. missing closing avia tags but did not find anything obvious.
cheers,
DirkFebruary 26, 2018 at 11:55 am #917786have you enabled the debug mode on enfold?
If so on new enfold there is on editor mode now an enfold shortcode parser. If you don’t see it you can activate it on top in the screen-options dialog.
There you can set “check enabled on update” – update that page and report if there are some warnings on “Show parser info”February 26, 2018 at 1:11 pm #917822Debug mode is enabled and I allready checked the parser. No errors.
cheers,
DirkFebruary 26, 2018 at 8:54 pm #917992Any news please?
I tested the avia code now on three different enfold based sites and on every site it is the same render problem so it must something in the code (you have but I can send again via private content) and that should be easily repsoduceable by you or ?
Thanks!
cheers,
Dirk
February 27, 2018 at 5:28 am #918175Hi,
Thank you for the info.
The table breaks because of the “less than” symbol (ex. <80db). Please use the actual words.
less than 80db
Unfortunately, you can’t use these comparison symbols inside the table because it’s going to be treated as part of an html tag.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 27, 2018 at 11:45 am #918375Hej Ismael,
thanks for finding the reason. I had also thought in this direction, but I never would imagine that a character IN the table could have caused this (especially it is no problem to use these “brackets” anywhere else). Honestly I would call that a (major) Bug. Either you intercept such characters so that the user cannot use them and is warned accordingly, or you convert this character to the appropriate entity. It’s not even an unusual character.
Anyway, thanks again, at least now I know :-) Much appreciated!

February 27, 2018 at 12:01 pm #918379no comment on that:
… what HTML entities are I should know as a studied computer scientist and apart from that …
even this board soft althought it is in code tags will transform some entities because they are starting with those signs like
&

February 27, 2018 at 12:22 pm #918385Your reference to entities is quite correct and a good workaround, thank you, but I’m just the wrong addressee; -) I had to assume that a “>” does NOT lead to such behaviour, but is transferred into the entity if necessary. That this doesn’t happen is simply a bug and I think you agree on that.
However, I find it extremely unpleasant that you have to depict my professional qualifications sarcastically. No offense!

February 27, 2018 at 1:27 pm #918436We all make mistakes. Some people know that, others do not. Some search for the source of the error in themselves, others search for others’ mistakes.
February 27, 2018 at 1:32 pm #918440More informations (to proof that is a bug).
Instead using “<” paste or write the entity in the cell “<” it immediatly shows “<“. Save the table, save the page/post. Everything is fine. Open the table again and save again (no need to change anything) save the page/post again. Bämm. Rendering broken. Please fix that.
Thanks,
Dirk
February 27, 2018 at 1:35 pm #918441Guenni pls stop writing in my threads. Your comments are offending and annoying and as you are not a member of the officical support team I would appreciate not to read you. Thanks for understanding.

Sorry this is google translator:The comments are not offensive. My reference to changing the special characters in code could actually have ended this thread here. Whether it is a bug or not is once left out.
The people here are trying hard to help. This demand always and immediately testifies to a certain intolerance to the other – which also expect help.
Most of my comments here on board are trying to help others, even though I’m not a moderator on board. Almost 3000 answers here on board certainly do not testify to unkindness but to helpfulness.I hope to remember not to respond to requests from your nick. – I can not promise it. I am so educated to be helpful.
February 28, 2018 at 10:00 am #918895Hi,
More informations (to proof that is a bug).
Yes, it is indeed a bug. We don’t encounter a lot of reports regarding the issue, which is suprising, but our developer are quite aware of the issue. Another workaround is to use the html entity character of the symbol as @Guenni007 suggested and then update the page. However, you should not update the table again afterwards because it’s going to break the layout again.
Best regards,
Ismael -
