Hi Guys,
I have been using the Grid row Layout component in one of my pages and have now discovered that it breaks the responsiveness of the page if I add any other element below this row. Is this a bug?
Please see this page: http://dev6.mediax.co.za/support/ you will notice that the first grid row changes fine after the screen size changes, but the second grid row as well as the footer widget positions no longer act responsive. Even when I remove the 2nd grid row, and the section under that, the footer layout still looses responsiveness. If I have absolutely nothing in the page layout under the first grid row, it is working, when I add whitespace or any other element under the grid row, it breaks the footer. Please help.
Thanx

I couldn’t really see anything breaking on the page you linked, could you send us a screenshot of the issue please? Also, we might need a login to have a look at the backend. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

Thanks for your reply. It was shortcode I used above the grid row that caused the problem for me. I removed this shortcode:
[av_sidebar widget_area='MySearch']
and the problem went away. I will create a page for you to see this: http://dev6.mediax.co.za/breaking-issue/You will notice on the fullscreen there is no problem with the layout. Only when screen is in mobile or tablet size, both the second grid row and footer is not acting correctly.
Kind regards,

It does look broken. Can you please post the login details here? We will check the structure of the page.

You will notice when you remove the shortcode search widget that this problem goes away, but I would prefer using the shortcode.

September 6, 2015 at 3:13 am #498779Hi!
Looks like you combined shortcodes plus html codes inside the code block element. There is a note in a code block:
“Enter some text/code. You can also add plugin shortcodes here. (Adding theme shortcodes is not recommended though)”.
It is not recommended to use theme shortcodes inside a code block because a combination of shortcodes and html codes tend to break the layout of the builder. Removing the search widget doesn’t seem to fix the issue.
Cheers!

Thanks for looking at this. Can I use the theme shortcode in a text box then?

Yes but if you see weird behaviour then it would be best to separate them into different elements.
