When I enable google recaptcha on my website forms I see this error message: “This contact form is deactivated because you refused to accept Google reCaptcha service which is necessary to validate any messages sent by the form.”
I have it set so that cookies are automatically accepted on page load. Please advise.

February 26, 2020 at 6:23 am #1187972Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We enabled the spam protection of the form inside the contact page, and we are still able to submit the mail or message without encountering any issue. Please check the contact page. (see private field)
Where are you testing it? Which browser?
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 27, 2020 at 11:48 am #1188404How did you enable spam protection? I can’t find this option I can only see the option to enable the recaptcha.
February 28, 2020 at 9:37 am #1188786Hi,
You can find the option in the Contact Form element itself. Look for the Security > Contact Form Captcha settings. This allows you to enable the spam protection or captcha on individual contact form.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 28, 2020 at 1:16 pm #1188823Ah okay yes that’s what I was doing. I’m seeing the issue on Safari on my iPhone. You can see the issue here: https://imgur.com/gallery/bXsRMPi
March 2, 2020 at 4:22 am #1189307Hi,
Thank you for the info.
Have you tried to remove your phone’s browser cache including the saved cookies? It’s possible that there are related cookies stored in your phone that disables the spam protection.
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 6, 2022 at 12:09 am #1334438I’m having this same issue — all my plugins are up to date, I’ve enabled the auto cookie accept and even added the shortcode to privacy policy as I saw as a solution in another thread. What am I doing wrong?

January 6, 2022 at 6:13 am #1334480Hi,
@pattiehall: You should NOT be posting your site details in someone else’s thread because the private field is also visible for the OP. Please open a new thread instead and post the details there. We will remove the login details above and close this thread for now. For the meantime, make sure to update the theme to version 4.8.8.1, disable the file compression settings temporarily, then purge the cache.Best regards,
