I was wondering if Enfold by default is trying to run google.com/recaptcha/api.js. I have a plugin conflicting and the reCAPTCHA on it wont work. They said:
“Our devs have troubleshoot and find out that there’s another Google API captcha running on your site as screenshot below which you may need to disable it”
I attached a screenshot they provided, I just can’t figure out where it is coming from.

BasilisOctober 3, 2016 at 6:39 am #694442I just want to know if the theme is responsible for the reCAPTCHA issues I am having. The screenshot is here: http://d.pr/i/1hM8n and it is definitely online. I am unable to use the reCAPTCHA feature in a plugin because of this conflict.
October 5, 2016 at 5:18 pm #695642Hi,
does it work with a default WordPress theme? Try another plugin if it’s not working with Enfold for you.

AndyOctober 11, 2016 at 11:31 pm #698099I setup a dev environment with all other plugins off where the theme can be switched between Enfold and 2016. The plugin works as expected in 2016 but not in Enfold, the Google reCAPCHA tool gets hidden for some reason.
I need help getting this to work as this is the main purpose of the entire website. Using a different plugin is not an option. The creators of the plugin said they noticed that a Google API was conflicting with their plugin, so I assume we need to disable this somehow in the theme.
October 14, 2016 at 12:08 pm #699059Hi,
we have no experience with this plugin and as written in our support policy we can’t really help you with 3rd party plugins. Please contact plugin’s author about it and if he can’t help you, then you need to hire a freelance developer to make this plugin compatible for you. You can hire one here: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

AndyOctober 14, 2016 at 9:36 pm #699298Sometimes your support is awesome and sometimes it sucks dick. If something works on stock themes such as 2016 and not on yours, isn’t it your job to figure out why? The other developer pointed to Enfold as the issue, you can’t just be lazy point back at them when they provided me proof this only happens on Enfold.
What I really need to know is, does Enfold have any built in reCAPTCHA API code at all?
October 17, 2016 at 12:05 pm #699898Hi,
yes, Enfold has a captcha function in it’s contact form element, see here: http://imgur.com/a/DB0f9
We also recommend to use Contact Form 7 plugin, if you need some more functions.
Unfortunately not every WordPress plugin is compatible with every WordPress theme. This is one of the negative aspects about WordPress in general. We can’t change our theme because of one plugin out there. There are thousands out there and we would never finish if we would start with it. Even if we would give it a try, it would simply be impossible, cause if we start to try to be compatible with one plugin, then automatically there will be an incompatibility with another plugin and so on … so I hope you understand the situation in the WordPress world.
However, as already said, there is always the possibility to hire a freelancer for you, who makes a specific plugin compatible with a specific theme.

AndyOctober 17, 2016 at 9:58 pm #700276Is there any way to disable the recaptcha that the theme is using? Maybe a function to add or a file I can edit in a child theme? The two APIs are conflicting according to the plugin creators.
October 19, 2016 at 11:45 am #701162Hi,
you can simply deactivate captcha function when editing your Contact Form element. If you need something beyond that, you would need to manually customize wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/contact.php
If you can’t do it by yourself, then we recommend to hire a freelance developer for this job: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization
Best regards,
