Hi,
I received an alert from Google saying that my site had “New Mobile Usability issues detected for site”. In particular, the two issues are “Content wider than screen” and “Clickable elements too close together”. In my iOS view, I see that the blog titles are overlapping. I included links to screenshots below. My blog was previously setup with the spec below. But I did make an adjustment so that it is now a single column in order to prevent this issue from happening. How can I still have two columns of posts and not have my text overlap?
Blog Settings were:
Styling: Elegant, Multi Author Blog
Grid layout, 2 columns, title and excerpt
Set Preview Image automatically based on column or layout width
Thank you,
Kristina
Hey kpeltierWT,
Thanks for the link and screenshots, though I can’t reproduce the issue on my end. Did you manage to get things working?
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
No I wasn’t able to work with two columns in my blog. I had to switch the blog to a single column to fix the issue. I tried going back to two columns today and removed my custom CSS on the site but I’m still seeing an issue. Is there a way to set the padding between columns when you do use a two column grid layout on the blog overview page?
Thanks,
Kristina
Hi Kristina,
Yes, of course, padding between columns can be added. Let us know if you need help with that.
Best regards,
Victoria
