I was just wondering why the Yoast Local SEO maps widget shows a location at all few hundred meters away from their correct position. I checked with Google maps at Google and their I get the correct location and marker where it is.
Then I put in a Google map avia element on a page, put in the same latitude and longitude values as at Google and double checked the values, but even in avia google maps as in Yoast local SEO google map the marker differs from were the location is.
Is this a bug?
Hi adrianwackernah!
It’s probably trying to find the nearest address. Try getting the embed code from the google maps website and use that in a codeblock element instead. You would just need to click on the gear icon in the bottom right of the page when viewing your map to get the embed code.
Cheers!
Elliott
