August 8, 2016 at 4:16 pm #669891Hey perfortuna!
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is currently 3.7.1 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/
Regards,
YigitAugust 8, 2016 at 4:17 pm #669892You created a new API key in your Google account, and filed in the code in the new Enfold v.3.7?

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.

- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.
Best regards,
YigitAugust 8, 2016 at 4:59 pm #669929I have same problem. It looks like its a php7 issue.

August 8, 2016 at 7:48 pm #670029Hello:
As you can see from my home page footer widget, the map is not working. I have the Enfold 3.7.1 and added my Google Map API as instructedAdmin login is in the private content — thanks much for your help.
Regards, Ned
August 8, 2016 at 9:50 pm #670051I am experiencing the same problem. I uploaded the latest version of Enfold and followed the instructions in the Google Services section of the Enfold settings. I was surprised because I thought I’d have to create one of the many API’s just for Google maps as shown in the Google developer library. It does seem like your tutorial could use a bit more info between steps 3 and 4.

Just to make sure, if you have inserted your domain here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/08/step_4.png, can you please try removing it or try adding domain in following format
kriesi.at/*Cheers!

August 8, 2016 at 10:35 pm #670067Same exact thing is happening on my site. I registered for an API key and inserted it in Enfold / Google Services, but on the website after getting the map for a split second I get the OOPS screen.

August 9, 2016 at 12:50 pm #670290Hello, same problem here since I´ve updated to 3.7.1

August 9, 2016 at 4:23 pm #670382Google says to wait 5 minutes for the change in settings to take effect. So I have now systematically changed the url in my project in google to:
domain.com
domain.com/*
.domain.com/*
http://domain.comIn each case I waited at least 10 minutes before reloading the pages on my site with the map. Nothing worked. I still see a map for a split second, then the Oops message.

August 9, 2016 at 5:59 pm #670444Just to let you know, it`s possible to get it to work.
I have 3 sites running where it works just fine.
E.g. my seo agency – map in footer: http://www.connect-media.dk/seo-bureau/
August 9, 2016 at 8:13 pm #670518That is very good to hear jjdenmark. Thank you for sharing because it’s the first I’ve heard of it working for someone. Did it work right away? Can you say what you did? How you added the URL and if you had to enable any of the API’s in the Google Developer Library?
August 9, 2016 at 10:20 pm #670540I did exactly as mentioned here :
New API key with only http://domain.com/*
Key insert in Enfold and cache clear in W3 total cache and a F5 on the page to load new edition.
The Key was automatically enabled.
I made a new key for the next domain and its also just working.
August 9, 2016 at 10:50 pm #670542Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry to report mine still does not work. I tried visiting the page in another browser that I haven’t used in a long time, just in case I wasn’t clearing the cache right – no luck. I tried in an incognito window in Chrome, but it still isn’t working. Has anybody else in this thread gotten this to work?

August 9, 2016 at 11:07 pm #670547Do you use a cache plugin? php 7 ?
August 9, 2016 at 11:23 pm #670551@jjdenmark. No. I don’t really know what that is. I find that Google Cache doesn’t clear out easily. I have had more than one project where no matter how many times I say to clear the browsing history that something is fine on other browsers but not on Google Chrome.
My map works in the sidebar works. Now that I switched to using a separate plugin. But the maps in the pages are getting the Oops message. Sigh.
August 9, 2016 at 11:50 pm #670552I mean a cache plugin like W3 Total cache, it can help the issues with browsers.
Every time you clear the cache, it sets new dates for objects and java. It forces the browsers to get new fresh data.
August 9, 2016 at 11:51 pm #670553Ah, I almost asked you what that was when you first mentioned it. Is it a WordPress plugin? Or is in an extension for Google Chrome? I take it you have used it a lot?
August 9, 2016 at 11:59 pm #670555A use it for speed optimization, it a WP plugin, free.
When you install it, you can turn on minification af java and Css – and Gzip for html…aaand also object expiration time.
It helps on many issues with browsers not getting the newest version including yourself – just remember to flush the cache after updating. It will make you sites load 2-300% faster.
August 10, 2016 at 12:06 am #670556I’ll check it out. Thanks!
