August 16, 2016 at 2:09 pm #673242Hey!
You are currently using an older version of the theme. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.7.1 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and then refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/
Best regards,
YigitAugust 18, 2016 at 2:25 pm #674189It still does not work. I did all the steps. In the widget area the following pops up:
“Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”thx & regards.

August 22, 2016 at 7:39 pm #675988Hi,
I can’t activate ALB on your installation, it seems there is a conflict with a plugin. Thus I can’t test Google Maps element on any site. Are we allowed to deactivate all plugins?
Best regards,
AndyAugust 23, 2016 at 8:29 am #676243which plugins create this problem… we have this problem on all our customer pages with enfold….

August 23, 2016 at 8:36 am #676246Hi Andy, now i deactivate all step by step but it does not working! i get this problem on many enfold-pages. should i open a new task for it?
August 23, 2016 at 12:22 pm #676340Hi,
if this is happening although all plugin are deactivated then there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

AndyAugust 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm #676368Hi Andy
this means that all our pages are wrong because i try now around 10 pages and each page has a problem with google API Key.second example – it is not working:
so you mean i should reinstalle the new enfold again? correct’
It is working on our own server: http://kundentest.swissclick.ch/?page_id=2341 with a lot of plugins.
August 23, 2016 at 1:39 pm #676397Hi,
are we talking about google API Key or about your broken ALB?
Try to us an external plugin like https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/api-key-for-google-maps/ with a default WordPress theme and let us know if it’s working for you or not.Best regards,
AndyAugust 23, 2016 at 1:43 pm #676400Hi Andy
what means “broken ALB”?
//dunja i find out you mean avia layer builder. this is working on my wordpress page.steps:
I generate API-Key and implement. Than map is not working. My problem is, i get exact same bug on diffrent webpages.
”
Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”now is it a little bit urgent because all customer send us an email about this bug.
I can share wp-login and API Key if its helps to find the problem.

i do it too, but it does not working till know.
one more: do you use Enfold-Child? or Enfold self?thank you dunja
August 23, 2016 at 6:31 pm #676596Hi @all
i found the problem!at documentation they write only about the access key from goolge maps (console). But you need also to activate a Javascript (Google Maps JavaScript API) on this google console too!
Sorry to kriesi-team. but could you add this in your documentation too. maybe it solves a lot of requests.
best regards, dunja
August 23, 2016 at 6:36 pm #676599Not working on our site either, ldss.com/contact/. Please advise!!
August 23, 2016 at 6:46 pm #676603Yes, it also works now with active Plugins. Don’t know why but it works now.
Maybe try to deactivate and activate again.
August 23, 2016 at 7:21 pm #676616Hi Edamon, yes i see. Mh on my side it is also not working on all my pages. i need to find out the problem:

– geo-information: http://www.mapcoordinates.net/
– activate: on google console the “Google Maps JavaScript API” and “Google Places API Web Service”
– and add the website like this:
*.yourdomain.com
*.yourdomain.com/*

August 23, 2016 at 7:37 pm #676623OK after working for a while it does not work anymore.
On another site it works correctly.
August 23, 2016 at 7:41 pm #676625oh my pages is it ok since i set the above information. try exact the same.
August 23, 2016 at 7:47 pm #676629I figured out that if I use it as a widget it does not work. Do you have it integrated as a widget?
August 23, 2016 at 7:55 pm #676632let me try.
yes you are right. if i add the map widget the map is broken on the complete page (also on the page contact)! if i disable the widgent, the maps will be ok on the page.
i think kriesi – should figure out the main problem with this google map api integration.

August 24, 2016 at 4:01 pm #677073Hi,
we need to find the cause for this issue, but we can’t reproduce it on our end. It’s also working for lot’s of other customers. So something outside of Enfold’s fault might cause this. To confirm this please activate a default WordPress theme and then use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/api-key-for-google-maps/. Check if it’s working for you or not. If it’s not working then we know that it’s not a theme related issue and you need to contact general WordPress and/or Google support about it.
Hope this will help to get closer to a solution.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 24, 2016 at 6:15 pm #677173Hi Andy, yesterdy i tray a lot. follow i am sure:
if you add api key and it is working:
– you can integrate it on a page = the map is displayed (i find not out the correct URL where you really add to google api key) but it will be ok if you try it.
– you integrate it also in a widget – same code – it will be broken on both position (page and widget)– most problem is, that user do not activate the api key and if its not working with only javascript api you need to activate also google map web api.
– and than you should add diffrent URL with */ and or not. I think mostly is not clear how exactly you should add that the api is working on this page/url.- This reply was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by swissclick.
August 24, 2016 at 10:16 pm #677257My simple solution was to add new map on any page(post) with existing map. Then just removed new map and all maps on this page and other pages started to work. Hope it can help someone :)
August 24, 2016 at 11:41 pm #677271Tried making Google API through their dashboard, even used recommended API plugin with same API number, nothing works. Also disabled all plugins and checked, reenabled all plugins and checked, nothing. I don’t get it.
August 25, 2016 at 6:16 pm #677703It kind of looks to me like we need the theme modified to have an area for Google API keys added, since they added mandatory API keys in June apparently. The script is called from the media element of pages but there is no place for API keys to be added to the called script. Does this sound feasible at all?
August 25, 2016 at 6:28 pm #677710Or this will do it: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/
August 25, 2016 at 9:50 pm #677749Hi,
I checked again and Google Maps is working on our end (inside footer widget, as well as inside page).
Does it work for you with a default WordPress theme + Google API key plugin?
Best regards,
Andy -
