Some users of Apple devices are reporting that the Google Maps are not displaying on their screens. I have seen previous logs where this was discussed and one solution was to trying loading a version of a file from github rather than the released version.
Oct 7th Yigit in response #1145920 suggested loading https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/blob/master/temp_fixes/Enfold_4_6_3/avia-snippet-cookieconsent.js and flush browser cache? This is a few months ago now and I assume that subsequent fixes / updates have addressed the issue that file was resolving.
Is there a solution?
Hi,
Thanks for contacting us!
I just checked your website on Safari but Google Maps loads fine on my end. Attached a screenshot in private content field.
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi Yigit, thanks
Yes, unfortunately I can’t replicate the problem either. All emulators work fine and it appears many Apple devices do too.
So we are left with what is definitely a problem and little hope of a solution.
Previous posts along similar lines mentioned a Bigger Issue and possibly fix in a future release – for example Victoria (14th Nov) on response #1156717 said “This seems to be a part of the bigger issue and it will be fixed in the new version. Please bear with us.”
What was the “bigger issue” and has it been addressed?
regards
John
Hi John,
Yes, we have already fixed that issue and included in Enfold 4.7. JS was broken in Safari browser which was causing issues such as cookie consent bar not showing up therefore visitors were unable to accept Google cookies therefore not being able to use Google services.
Could you please ask your users to flush their mobile browser cache and check once again? This should solve the issue for them.
Regards,
Yigit
