Hi,
I am having a problem with the google maps on my website with the map having an overlay saying “for development purposes only”
I have billing set up on this account and have set up the keys with restrictions to http with the correct website listed and also a wild card *.sanclerproperty.co.uk
The website is https://www.sanclerproperty.co.uk
Any help would be appreciated as I need to send out a facebook as ASAP and don’t want the site to not display the maps properly when people visit it.
Kindest Regards
Robbie

Yes I have an API Key, I have provided the login details in the private content if you have access rights for this content?
It only happened over the last few days and I can’t see that we have too many visitors to make it hit the service too much.
Kindest Regards

I checked the API key on the backend and it seems like there’s something wrong with it since it’s not possible to connect with it. This is the error message you are getting: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors. Could you please double check all the suggestions on that page?

There was an API key in there but have now added another and it still doesn’t work?
Kindest Regards

Yes I see that you have added a key, but it’s not working if you check it in the backend:
Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.
Troubleshooting:
Check if you typed the key correctly.
If you use the restriction setting on Google try to remove that, wait a few minutes for google to apply your changes and then check again if the key works here. If it does, you probably have a syntax error in your referrer url
If none of this helps: deactivate all plugins and then check if the API works by using the button above. If thats the case then one of your plugins is interfering. And you are still getting the same error message on the actual page. Please try to go through all the points in the Google documentation.

RikardJune 17, 2019 at 11:16 am #1110976Hi Rikard,
Everything seems to be set up ok, I have set up billing and associated the correct credentials to the billing but I’m still getting this message in the console –
You have exceeded your request quota for this API. See https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors
We are up and running and live so any help would be appreciated.
Kindest Regards
