Hello!
I am using the Google Map Media Element on my contact page and it has seem to stop working. It would load for a split second and then I would get an error message stating:
” Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details. ”Not sure if it’s my computer or my website. Also, I tried to re-add the Google Map Media Element and it did mention something about Google’s API key not working? Hopefully that helps, thank you!
November 17, 2016 at 10:11 am #713465Hello stewroids,
as you can see in many other posts, there is existing a solution. You have to generate an API-Key. See more Information here:- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by msteid.

I have actually the same problem. I generated an API-Key and integrated it Enfold (as it is mentioned in the articel).
Then I noticed, if there is any Google Plugin installed like Google Analytics Dashboard for WP or Google XML Sitemaps, etc. you got an error message by saving your API-Key. So you have do deactivate those Plugins. So I did. After that the saving was successfull. But untill now my Google Maps element doesn’t work.
I still got the message:“Hoppla! Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten.
Google Maps wurde auf dieser Seite nicht richtig geladen. Technische Details dazu entnimmst du der JavaScript-Konsole.”Here is the affected URL:

You are getting an “Invalid key” error on the Google Maps API, could you verify that your key is correct?

RikardNovember 17, 2016 at 11:58 am #713528Hi @msteid,
Please check the error message I’m seeing on your site in private, did you authorise the API key to be used on your account?
If you should need further help then please post admin login details in private.

November 18, 2016 at 10:01 am #713905Hi @tiefenschaerfe,
I could only see one map on your site, the one in the footer, and that is working. Could you link directly to the problem page please? Please open a new thread next time as it’s difficult for us to help multiple people in the same thread.
Best regards,
