Hi,
I have the Google API key inserted and it is not accepted. I’ve also gone through all the suggestions below to resolve, but still no luck.
Troubleshooting:
Check if you typed the key correctly.
If you use the restriction setting on Google try to remove that, wait a few minutes for google to apply your changes and then check again if the key works here. If it does, you probably have a syntax error in your referrer url
If none of this helps: deactivate all plugins and then check if the API works by using the button above. If thats the case then one of your plugins is interfering.
Thoughts?
Details of API Key setup:
It had to be set up under the Google Cloud Platform which seems to be a paid service that allows for a certain amount of free usage and then it bills me. I think it said we have one year of free usage so we will have to see what it says in the future.
The API is for displaying a map on the StAndrewsStreetsville.ca website (it is restricted to our site only which is what they suggested so someone else doesn’t use it and rack up charges).
on google Maps API did you enter your domain as : *standrewsstreetsville.ca/*
so the key is for all subdomains too and for all subpages!
have a look what happens if you place a google map on home (landing page) -then you will know.
Hi,
Thanks for the login details, though I can’t access the normal WordPress login page. Could you post that in private as well please? Also, on which page are you using the Google Maps element?
Best regards,
Rikard
