Hello.
I’ve created an api with no restrictions, waited long enough (around 15mins) but WP/Enfold can not connect.
Disabled all plugins – still not working.
Tried creating another API, with restrictions to my domain only, still not working.
I’m adding details on private area. If possible PLEASE connect to my screen via AnyDesk so i can also show you the API page of google.
ThanksFebruary 14, 2020 at 5:51 pm #1184586I somehow managed it. As far as i understand, to get API’s working, a billing method must be set up. I’ve added an empty bank card details, now it works.
February 14, 2020 at 6:02 pm #1184588But somehow i am scared of being charged too much. What if 200$ monthly Maps API credit won’t be enough for my webpage? Its very unlikely but not impossible of course.
Aynone knows how to prevent getting charged?
ThanksFebruary 15, 2020 at 6:57 am #1184674Hi,
Thanks for the updates, I’m glad that it’s working now. I don’t think you have to be too worried about getting charged by Google since they allow several thousands of calls each month for free.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 15, 2020 at 8:06 pm #1184806Hello @Rikard ; I aggree that i dont worry that much, but for example in case of an DDoS attack, with thousands of GMaps requests, i may get billed a lot.. :)
So, security first, as always, not only for web site security :DFebruary 16, 2020 at 6:12 am #1184930Hi,
Yes, I guess that is a possibility. But I’ve never heard of it happening and users getting billed for it.
Best regards,
