The Google Map element stopped working on the page it was on. It was previously working.
The error that I now get on the page is “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.”The Google Services page on the Enfold Theme options is no longer accepting the API Key, when I try to paste it I get the error:
Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.I followed the solutions avaible in the troubleshooting guideline of the Enfold docs but to no avail.
I contacted Google Maps Technical Support and they replied: your theme is using a retired version of Maps Javascript API.
Please advise.

Can you tell us what version of Enfold are you using?
Best regards,

May 10, 2021 at 2:21 pm #1299374Hi Nikko,
Can you update it to the latest version (4.8.2)?
Also, please make sure to have a backup first before updating.Best regards,
NikkoMay 10, 2021 at 9:55 pm #1299493I am having the same problem. Google Maps was working fine and suddenly stopped. Everything has been updated (theme, plugins); the API key was generated under the relatively new updates per Google, and my billing info is up-to-date. I keep getting the “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.” error message. I tried regenerating the key, etc. Nothing is solving the issue. We have an important meeting tonight and need to show the maps use on our website. Yikes!
May 11, 2021 at 6:29 am #1299562Hi phausner,
Thanks for providing us with admin credentials.
I tried the API key I have on your site and it worked properly (see screenshot in private content).
Can you check what restrictions you made on the key? (Application restrictions and API restrictions)Best regards,
NikkoMay 11, 2021 at 6:33 pm #1299748I do not see a screenshot in the private content. I don’t know what API key you’re using. I tried to reset the API Key today and still am getting an error message. I’m including the new API Key I generated today in the private area.
May 12, 2021 at 3:50 am #1299774Hi phausner,
I see I didn’t notice you were not the thread creator, only moderators and the thread creator can view private content.
Can you create a separate thread? and continue the discussion there.
Also, please try to set any Restrictions to none in your API key? and see if it helps (if it works then try to put other restriction options).Best regards,
