    Hello,

    I am getting the following error while setting the google map API Key through WordPress backend. I have followed the step as described in the document but it doesn’t work for me

    ERROR: “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.”

    Could you please help me to troubleshoot this issue.

    Hi Monali, I have the same problem:

    ERROR: “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.”

    Also, with reCAPTCHA the keys don’t work.

    Tried multiple times, generated new keys, removed restrictions, waited…. nothing works.
    I thought maybe iThemes Security could be interfering, and disabled it. But the same result, keys don’t work.

    Where to start troubleshooting?

    I have exactly the same problem. I have also checked the support page and found no solution.

    I was able to solve my problem after I followed this link: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/
    I got a few new popups i had to confirm and now everything is working :)
