    Hi guys,
first of all thank you for the 4.4 update in terms of GDPR.
I tried to use the new font uploading tool and it seems like my customized fonts are uploaded.
Montserrat for headings and Open Sans for body text.
But when I check the Sources in my Chrome browser it seems like the Google Fonts API is still firing using Montserrat, Open Sans and what surprises me most Roboto. I do not use the font conscious.

Can you help me deactivating google fonts :-) ?

Thank you so much and best regards!

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Hi,

The custom google fonts will be loaded even if you don’t set them anywhere. Once the custom font is uploaded, the theme assumes that you’re gonna use it so it’s preloaded. Please delete the font if you’re not going to use it.

Make sure to delete any fonts that you are not using, to keep the loading time for your visitors low.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
I deleted the fonts I don’t use but anyways the Roboto Font is loading via Google Fonts.

This is what I see in my Browser: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:100,300,regular,700%7CRoboto:regular%7CMontserrat:100,300,regular,700&subset=latin%2Clatin-ext

    Best regards!

    Hi n_bonki,

You even have dns prefetch for the Google fonts. As for the Roboto, looks like it is the Layer Slider loading it.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Roboto is also loaded by Google Maps. If that’s the case for you, here’s the solution (works like a charm):
