    Hi,

I am trying to add a link to a PDF.
The link has an onClick event with Google Analytics code function in it

    download our brochure

First I tried adding the link in a regular text widget (Avia Editor), but the onClick event gets blown out by the Avia editor

Should I use code block instead?

Can’t seem to get event to fire.

    Hey xuamox,

I would say try to in the code block element and see if that works. If not, running it from functions.php may be a better option.

Thanks, code block does not seem to be working either. I will take a look at running it from functions.php

OK, so i finally got it working. The issue was the ” that I used. It seems that some of the code that I copied was using different characters for ” so it messed things up. Apparently when it comes to ” you have to ensure you are consistent with your characters. Not very obvious, but important.
