Hello — I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for months. We are on Enfold version 4.5.7 and since trying to update to 4.6.x and even 4.7.x and the Google Analytics traffic on our sites drops to next to nothing. I’ve tweaked with settings in the Cookies/GDPR and haven’t been able to resolve it. Can you please advise on the proper settings that should be in place with the new updates in order to keep our GA traffic working? Thanks!

Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL to one or both of your sites so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,

See below.March 11, 2020 at 5:04 am #1192127Hi,
Thanks for that, but neither the token or the login details are working. Please check:
ERROR: User can’t find.

Thanks for that, but it’s not working either. I get redirected to the home page without being logged in.

RikardMarch 12, 2020 at 10:37 pm #1192792Sorry, I’m not sure why. Possibly the Temp Login doesn’t work with WP Engine.
Are you able to specify what the general settings should be for the Cookies/GDPR so that Google Analytics still works as it should?

March 19, 2020 at 5:26 am #1194305Hi,
Sorry for the delay. The Google Analytics tracker is working properly even if the cookie consent bar is enabled. As you can see in the screenshot below, the tracker is still collecting data from the site even if we haven’t accepted the cookies, yet.

Did you set the Privacy & Cookies > Default Cookie Behavior to the first option? The option should automatically enable third party services such as the GA tracker on page load even without the users’ explicit consent.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 19, 2020 at 6:19 pm #1194497Hey Ismael. Right now, the site is using version 4.5.7, so it’s working fine, but it’s when I update to the newer theme version (ever since 4.6.x) it breaks the GA tracking.
Is the Privacy & Cookies > Default Cookie Behavior the only setting that affects it in the new theme version? Or should I be checking anything else?
