Hi. I have a rather big problem. I have an accommodation site and my clients are registering zero referrals in Google analytics.
July 18, 2021 at 2:49 am #1310541Hi marko,

<script>

function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag(‘js’, new Date());gtag(‘config’, ‘UA-42669331-1’);
</script>July 18, 2021 at 6:57 am #1310567Prior to the above code I was using this:
<script>
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i[‘GoogleAnalyticsObject’]=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,’script’,’//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js’,’ga’);ga(‘create’, ‘UA-42669331-1’, ‘auto’);
ga(‘send’, ‘pageview’);</script>
<meta name=”referrer” content=”origin”>
Neither of these scripts work.

July 21, 2021 at 2:05 am #1310989Can I please have a response?
July 21, 2021 at 4:48 am #1311001Hi,
Sorry for the late response. The analytics script ran correctly when we visited the site. Did you disable the theme’s privacy options just recently? It is possible that one of the privacy options is preventing the analytics script from running because it is set to block external scripts on page load. You may need to set the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies > Cookie Handling > Default Cookie Behavior to the first or second option to immediately allow external services on page load.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 21, 2021 at 5:14 am #1311007Thank you for replying Ismael. I did not disable any privacy options. My site is an accommodation website. I have links to many accommodation businesses. These businesses judge my site’s effectiveness by seeing how many referrals they receive. For the last year or more they have been getting nothing. As you can imagine this is a big problem. I am losing customers. I have changed nothing in Enfold. All I have ever done is to update to latest versions. My cookie consent message is currently set to Disable Cookie Consent Messages. I will set to Default Cookie Behavior messages and see what happens. Done but now I cannot delete the cache. Get the dreaded spinning ball!

July 22, 2021 at 2:33 am #1311285No Luck!
I have 3 accommodation sites.
I have updated the theme on these two: http://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au & http://www.thegreatoceanwalk.com
These two sites are not registering referrals.
This third site has not been updated to the latest version and is still sending referrals.: http://www.greatoceanroadaccommodation.directoryThe problem then seems to be that the latest version of Enfold is not fully compatible with Google Analytics.
Do you have a fix for this?I am losing business.
Thanks, Mark.July 22, 2021 at 9:17 am #1311390Hi,
The analytics script is running correctly on both sites as shown in the screenshots below. This means that the theme is loading the script correctly or the theme adds it in the document as expected. We do not have access to your Google console, so we will not be able to check the data but the script is sending post requests to Google servers.

Unfortunately, we may not be able to help you further unless we get access to the console. You may need to hire a freelance developer for additional assistance.

IsmaelJuly 22, 2021 at 9:36 am #1311395Hi Ismael. I will give you access. Could I have an email please?
July 23, 2021 at 1:59 am #1311663Hi Ismael. I have been in contact with codeable but no luck yet. I really need this fixed! What is the best way to give you access to the console? Mark.
July 23, 2021 at 7:36 am #1311740Hi,
You can create a new group and add another user in the admin > user management. My email is in the private field.

IsmaelJuly 23, 2021 at 9:18 am #1311764Fantastic! Thank you Ismael. I have added you to Property Permissions for http://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au
Hope I have done it right?
Mark.July 23, 2021 at 10:59 am #1311790Hi,
According to the console, there are 17 page views yesterday July 22, 2021 and there are a total of 673 visitors or page views event in 30 days, which means that the analytics script is properly working all along. Please check the screenshot below.

Is this same console where you are checking the site data? There are also some referrals from this forum and two other sites. (see private field)

IsmaelJuly 23, 2021 at 11:24 am #1311805Hi Ismael. My apologies. I have not been clear with the problem. My sites ( https://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au being one of them ) are getting and registering referrals from other sites. That is not the problem. The problem is that my customers’ sites ( none of them ) are not registering referrals from my sites. Does this make sense? For example: please see on the home page of http://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au, half way down you will see a number of accommodation venues that pay for a featured listing. If you click on any of these properties this should show as one referral from my site in their referral Analytics. However, the referrals are not showing and my customers think that my sites are no longer very effective. I hope I am making this clear? This only began to happen when I updated to the latest version of Enfold. regards, Mark.

July 25, 2021 at 3:16 am #1312137Hi Ismael. Still no luck with codeable. I think the problem has something to do with the latest version of Enfold not being compatible somehow with the Google Analytics script? I really need this fixed. I have already lost a few accommodation properties because of this. Mark.
July 26, 2021 at 5:44 am #1312290Hi,
My sites ( https://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au being one of them ) are getting and registering referrals from other sites. That is not the problem.
The fact that the site is getting and registering referrals from other sites and getting page views, just mean that there are no issues with the analytics or the tracker.
The problem is that my customers’ sites ( none of them ) are not registering referrals from my sites.
The analytics script on the site (https://www.otwaysaccommodation.com.au) is working correctly. You should check the tracker or analytics script in the site you are referring to, because that is the script that is supposed to send the referrer URL (your site).
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 26, 2021 at 5:50 am #1312293Thank you Ismael for your reply. This seems to be a tricky problem to solve.
Otways Accommodation advertises a large number of accommodation properties. None of these properties (these destination urls) are registering referrals from Otways Accommodation. They can’t all have a problem?
regards, Mark.https://www.greatoceanroadaccommodation.directory is another one of my sites. It is also an Enfold theme but it is an old version. This site is OK. Destination urls are receiving referrals. (this surely tells us that there is nothing wrong with destination urls) I cannot update this theme to the latest version because I’m afraid it will have the same problem as Otways Accommodation.
