Hi enfold-Team,
earlier this year we upgraded enfold from version 4.5.7
to 4.7.1
, since then analytics receives much more users than page views/sessions.
That leads to the problem that the data is no longer clean.
After digging, we learned that some urls which are not visible on page are found in analytics. Things which are triggered after specific actions.
For example adding an item to the cart on a product overview:
{url}/shop/all/?avia_extended_shop_select=yes&product_order=relevance&product_sort=asc
Question:
– How can we prevent analytics from creating invalid users?
System informations:
– enfold: 4.7.1 and upwards.
– woocommerce: 4.0.0 and upwards.
– monster insights premium: 7.10.2 and upwards.
– Google Analytics is enqueued by Monster Insights.
Hey philipp,
This is not really a theme issue but the analytics configuration. You might want to check the docs on how to configure it properly and exclude certain urls if needed.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
