Der Team,
as mentioned here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ga4-not-working/ I have tried to connect my page with the new GA code (as below). Bit in the theme options it is mentioned one shall still use the UA-xxx format. If I enter the G-xxx code, the Google dashboard does not show any results. I use Enfold 5.01.How can I connect the page to the new code in order to get it up and running?
Thx a lot Tilman
July 19, 2022 at 9:52 am #1358751Hey Tilman,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The new analytics code (G-id**) should also work in the Enfold > Google Services panel. Please provide the login details in the private field so that we can check the issue properly. You may need to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings while editing the site.
Best regards,

July 19, 2022 at 12:28 pm #1358762Hi,
Thanks for the info.
We have checked the Tracking-Code für Google Analytics field and we noticed that the analytics ID is incomplete, so we adjusted it. The tracker is now working properly. (see private field)

I´ll check the next days if the page shows up now properly in the G. adwords dashboardBut if I look on my second page, the G4 code seems to be copied correctly there, but does not show up in the G. dashboard neither. login see below
Thx again Ismael & best regards Tilman

July 20, 2022 at 7:38 am #1358845Hi,
On the other site, the analytics script is not running immediately on page load because of the privacy & cookie options. Users have to manually allow the analytics tracker by toggling the privacy buttons in the privacy modal popup window.
You can also set the Cookie Handling > Default Cookie Behavior to the first or second option to automatically load external services including the analytics tracker.

IsmaelJuly 20, 2022 at 9:39 am #1358868Hi Ismael,
understand. What I did not find, but would be helpful in order to be at least closer towards GDPR: Is there an option / a way to activate the GA cookie only on page load, but not the other cookies?thx again, Tilman
July 22, 2022 at 6:25 am #1359137Hi,
to activate the GA cookie only on page load
This is not possible with the current privacy options, unfortunately. You may need to look for a different plugin or a custom script for this. And because a tracker script collects personal data, automatically activating it without user consent is not GDPR compliant, if I am not mistaken.
This might offer more info about Google Analytics and GDPR.
// https://www.cookiebot.com/en/google-analytics-gdpr/
Under EU’s GDPR, Google Analytics cookies need end-user consent to be activated on your website.
