I’m wondering what is the correct way to add Google Analytics Ecommerce tracking to my WooCommerce store is. Currently, I have added the Google Analytics tracking snippet to the Google Services section in ENFOLD and I have the WooCommerce Google Analytics integration extension but I’m seeing a warning in the Google Tag Assistant for Chrome that the “Same web property ID is tracked twice.” on the WooCommerce pages. If I remove the snippet from the Google Services section in ENFOLD I then lose the tracking for the non-WooCommerce pages. And if I don’t have the WooCommerce Google Analytics integration extension I don’t have any Ecommerce tracking.

What is the WooCommerce Google Analytics integration extension? Where exactly do you need the tracking code to go?

This is the WooCommerce Google Analytics extension which is developed by WooCommerce and is supposed to enable us to get basic eCommerce analytics for free: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-google-analytics/
Your question about where I need the tracking code to go… I’ve already installed the WooCommerce Google Analytics extension via the plugin and I’ve added the Google Analytics tracking snippet to the Google Services area in ENFOLD so I’m not sure what you mean?
To confirm the issue is that I’m seeing a warning in the Google Tag Assistant for Chrome that the “Same web property ID is tracked twice.” on the WooCommerce pages.
Many thanks in advance,
Ben
June 12, 2019 at 2:21 pm #1109499Hi Ben,
Thanks for the clarification, so the plugin only adds the tracking code on WooCommerce pages? If so then I guess you would need conditional code for adding your regular analytics code, unless there’s an option to load the code for all pages in the plugin?

There is not an option to load the code for all pages in the plugin. So I guess as you say we’ll need conditional code for adding the regular analytics code. Is that something you can help with?
Many thanks in advance,
Ben

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
Best regards,
