Hi there,
As I understand atm there is no global elements support when saving layout to templates? Is or has there been (couldn’t find searching) a plugin suggested for a workaround?
Scenario: Trying to create some sort of a small real estate listing and have it saved as template up to this part all good. Moving on to creating other similar pages with saved template, still good.
Now the problem comes, when client decides that some content box detail header needs to have a different title/header and well … it’s not feasible to change 50 properties one by one. Any workarounds or suggestions.Any pointers are very much appreciated. Cheers.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Yes, you can’t use the template as a global element but there’s another element called “Page Content”. You can use that element to display the content of a particular post or page. It’s the same as a global template.

It doesn’t seem like a good idea to use a “page” as a “global template”, because then the “page” used for the “Page content” can also be displayed (via search) as a “Page” … and this, I fear, could create confusion in the website user.Best regards

Thanks for the feedback. You can set the page as a draft, or if the page is published, then you can select for search engines not to index it using a plugin like Yoast SEO.

Does not work. If the page is saved in Draft, it is not displayed in the “Page Content” :(>…or if the page is published, then you can select for search engines not to index it using a plugin like Yoast SEO.
maybe this works … but considering that I use “Templates” heavily it would be too complicated, replace the use of “Templates” with “Page Content” … also the pages published and used for “Page Content”, even if not tracked by google, they would still be visible to the public. Please consider considering implementing something that looks like “Global Templates”.
Looking forward to the new release of Enfold, Best Regards and thanks for your great work.Oriano
January 15, 2021 at 7:45 am #1272599Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The upcoming version of the theme will contain a Custom Elements option which is a more advanced template system for the advance layout builder elements. You might be able to use that feature in the future to create global elements or create a base element that you can reuse across the site.
Best regards,
