I looked at the docs and I looked in the forums, but I can not find how to get a video to play. I used the video media element and loaded the video. But all that shows is a link and when you click the link it downloads the video to the computer… Any suggestions??

    Thanks..

    Hi,

Thanks for the details, though I’m not sure where we can see the actual problem though. Could you link directly to the page please?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for that, I can see a video element on the second URL though it seems not to be playing. I tried the direct URL of the video as well but it doesn’t seem to be playing there either. Could you try uploading it to Youtube or Vimeo instead maybe to see if that works better?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

I have uploaded the video to Vimeo. When I click to play it, it says converting video, but then it does play. What is it converting it too? Since it plays in whatever format it is converted to. May I can use the same format. Any ideas?? Below is the file info if that would help:

    Hi,

As Rikard said, the best way to be followed is uploading your video to the Youtube or Vimeo. You can check this article: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/why-you-should-never-upload-a-video-to-wordpress/
