I’m trying to load an mp4 video similar to the top video section at http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v9-videos-and-parallax/. After not having consistancy with flash fallback (firefox was loading some videos but not others, and Windows 7 not loading videos at all) I tried loading all 3 html 5 video types and am now getting them all to play but firefox (testing in most recent version) doesn’t play the video on full screen and also shows stop control when hovering over even though this option isn’t checked off.
See private content for pdf link with detailed notes.

I don’t see the playback in Firefox on my end. I’m on Windows 8, are you on a mac? We use the mediaelement.js script, http://mediaelementjs.com/, so it would be best to upload the different file types so it’s compatible on all browsers and mobiles.

December 9, 2014 at 10:47 pm #365694Hi Elliott,
The video isn’t playing for you? All three video’s are included, even so shouldn’t the fallback work? Yes i’m on a mac but also tested with windows 7 with ie11 as well as with browser stack with a number of different virtual machines running.
Mediaelements.js is part of wordpress core since last april (https://make.wordpress.org/core/2013/04/08/audio-video-support-in-core/)? I wonder if there is a conflict with what you are using and the default wordpress usage?

It was playing fine yesterday but I checked again today and it looks like your getting an error in Firefox.
Send us a WordPress login so we can take a closer look.

Sorry, not sure how I missed that.
I just checked it again today and now the video is playing again in Firefox. Perhaps you were changing the video around when I viewed it?
It looks the same to me in both Chrome and Firefox so take a screenshot and highlight the problem in your screenshot so we can get a better idea.
It’s also displaying fullscreen in IE11 on Windows 8 for me.

December 11, 2014 at 10:31 pm #366986Your experience outlines the experience i’m also having, the video is inconsistent. I haven’t touched the settings since I initially e-mailed you so in my mind your experience should always have been the same.
I’m just going to see what happens with future videos.
Do I have to load all three video types or should flash fallback be working?
thanks

The MP4 should be all you need. Let us know if you see any other issues.

If you want you can switch the video display option to default mode when editing the video slide. That will have it display in it’s original dimensions.
Cheers!
ElliottDecember 14, 2014 at 7:59 pm #368020No, we want it to display like the demo video which has a different height than what we are able to get to work? Do you know how the height is set on that video? We are trying to match EXACTLY the look of the demo.
Thanks
p.s. I’m not getting notifications and they don’t seem to be going to my spam is there something I need to insure that i’m getting these?
December 15, 2014 at 4:41 pm #368341Hi!
Remove this from your child theme stylesheet.
.avia-builder-el-0.av-minimum-height-100 .container, .avia-builder-el-0.avia-fullscreen-slider .avia-slideshow { height: 600px !important; }

ElliottDecember 15, 2014 at 9:58 pm #368599Thanks, that did it.
