general styling options don't work when child theme is activated

Greetings, thanks for your great theme and support.

When activating the child theme and importing settings from parent theme, the color scheme is correctly selected in the admin but is not applied on the website. Same for the custom defined colors (eg. Primary color: #ff0033) The website always shows the standard splash green color scheme no matter what. It works when the enfold parent theme is selected, but I need to use a child theme for facilitating upgrades.

I have the latest version (3.1.1) with wordpress 4.1.1. What should I do ?
