Hello,
I am trying to change the color of my font and background while using General Styling.
But this doesn’t seem to work.
While changing the General Layout does work.I have no plugins active.
I see people mentioning file permission 775 in some post threads.
Do you think I have to dive into this, while General layout does work? (and if so, where can i find a practical explanation for doing this. im pretty new to all this and its overwhelming)Any other suggestions of what might be wrong?
Thanks!September 14, 2016 at 8:38 pm #686587I’ve managed to figure out the file permission, and it is set to 775 at the wp-content/uploads folder.
Still I don’t get the general styling to work.
Great if you could help!September 16, 2016 at 7:54 am #687278Hi,
Thanks for the login details, exactly what settings are not working for you?
Regards,
RikardSeptember 16, 2016 at 9:57 am #687361Hi Rikard,
thank you for your reply. It’s General Styling and Advanced Styling that do not work.
I get ‘alright sparky message’ when I change the colours, but when I refresh the page, noting happens (and the browser cache is not the one giving trouble).
Thank you for looking into it!
Greetings, Maja
September 19, 2016 at 7:24 pm #688704Hi,
Please try to increase the allocated memory to 256M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you. Also, do you mind if we activate parent theme for testing purposes?
Best regards,
YigitSeptember 20, 2016 at 10:53 am #689057Hi Yigit,
I allocated the PHP memory_limit to 256M.
My PHP version is 5.3And you can activate the parent theme, that is no problem.
Thank you for your help!

We applied a custom background to the main content and we got the following errors. This means the theme files are either incomplete or do not have the correct file permissions. Please update the theme via FTP and correct the permissions.

Another thing that you can try is to rename the enfold.css file in the wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia folder. Toggle any theme options then save it to regenerate the file.
UPDATE: Upgrade the PHP version to 5.4 or later.
Cheers!

It works, yes!I did all the steps you told me and discovered on the way that in:
Wordpress > Settings > Media > Store uploads in this folder ——> the folder here did not match the folder where the WordPress website was..
This was causing the trouble.
Thank you, you did help me find it!
It works wonderfully now.Cheers, Maja
