    Hi Guys!

I am reflecting on two different site structures:

    a] My site/page/page/post name, or
    b] My site/page/page/page.

I believe Option a] is better for SERPS/SEO because when the customer searches the post name, the url becomes: My site/post name

In other words, the key focus of the search is closer to the domain name itself and so the page will be considered more relevant.

Moreover, I was advised on WordPress 5 years ago that Posts load more quickly than Pages. I am not sure whether this is still the case, based on the avaiability of quick caching plug ins nowadays.

The BIG UNKNOWN [in my mind] is which url site structure will enable the WHOLE site to be ranked higher by Google.

This latter question is now my BIG ISSUE before I continue adding content.

Your opinion, and that of any SEO experts out there on the Forums, would be most welcome.

    Thanks!

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

I’m not sure I understand exactly what you mean but as far as I know it’s not possible for posts to be children of a page unless that is where your WordPress installation is located. So I think you should probably go for your second option.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
