Hi there,
I am currently reworking a website for photography. And part of it should be a gallery showing the portfolio. The idea is to show all pictures at a glance. But to give the possibility to filter these pictures – e.g. like it is done here in the demo section for the category of blog posts: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-dark-photography/blog/
Is this possible somehow with Enfold? I know that I cannot categorize a picture itself. But might there be a workaround? But clicking on the picture should not lead to a separate page as it is done with portfolio items, but only e.g. open a lightbox for this picture.
Any idea? Your help – or a matching link into the help section would be highly appreciated!
Thank you!

Well, the masonry gallery does not have filters, it’s just there to show images. The masonry element can be filtered, it is used to show blog posts, portfolio items, products. If these options are not working for you, you might want to consider using some plugin that has the exact functionality that you need.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. How about the other media elements? Any which dies have filters?
Of in case if I use the content masonry element – is there a possibility to change the behavior when clicking on the preview image?
I just ask as I usually prefer to work with as less additional plugins as possible.
Thank you!
January 27, 2021 at 2:26 pm #1275800Hi,
Sorry for the very late reply, I would recommend trying the Portfolio Grid element, you would need to create a portfolio item for each image, the Portfolio Grid allows sorting and lightbox viewing of the image. You can also have the images link externally if you use the override link option in the portfolio items. The title that shows below the items can be hidden with css, if you wish.
I recently assisted with a similar thread were a plugin Portfolio Gallery was the solution because WordPress doesn’t assign categories or tags to media items to allowing sorting. I understand that you don’t want to use another plugin, but I thought I would point this out.Best regards,
