    hi enfold team
    we tried to add the new GA4 analytics tag to the tracking-code area for google analytics in the theme-options.
    we use an enfold child theme (wordpress: 5.9.3, enfold: 4.7.4, enfold child: 1.0 )

    we tried to use both, the whole tracking code (gtag.js) and the mess-id (G-XXXXXXXXXX) but it does not work. there is no connection to our google analytics account for the website – no dato available.

    please be so kind and provide a solution for us

    Hey yattsu,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    We can reproduce the issue on our end but we are not yet sure what is causing it. We thought that it is due to the privacy settings, but the analytics script still doesn’t load when we temporarily disable the consent bar. We also disabled the file compression settings and removed the cache.

    Have you tried disabling the plugins temporarily? Is there a staging or a development version of the site?

    hi ismael,

    thanks for your quick reply. we have no idea why this the google analytics is not working – on other enfold websites it is currently working?!?

    we have just recently activated the privacy setting via the modal window. however, the google tracking code didn’t either already work before. yes, we have tried to disabled all plugins. unfortunately there is no staging environment. however, we do daily backups with updraft+ so you can also work on the live version.

    please help us to find a solution that works, thanks in advance

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We just noticed that the site still contains an older version of the theme (v4.7.4) even though you mentioned it in your first reply. The latest version of Google Analytics is not recognized in this version, so you have to immediately update the theme to version 4.9.2.1.

    hi ismael,
    now that we udated the theme google analytics works – but the whole site looks completly different – it is kind of broken design wise.
    – H1 headlines not left centered anymore, on all pages exept home!
    – the diferent projects on the reference page now showing all the same picture instead of the individual ones from before
    please can you tell what had happend? we need urgent help/support on this because the client has posted to several thousand people on linked in.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. I cleared the cache from your caching plugin, and that seems to have helped. Please review your site, and make sure to check it in an incognito or private browser window.
