    I have selected ‘user must accept, must opt in, only essential cookies selected’ and have the modal set to on first page load.

    I have added my UA code to the Google settings page.

    Ive cleared all my cookies for my site.

    I load my site.

    The following cookies are setting: _gat, _gid and _ga. The modal pop up then appears with privacy settings.

    [av_privacy_cookie_info] is confirming that the GA cookies are being set.

    This is wrong as no cookies should be set before the user has accepted.

    Can someone advise how I can block GA cookies before user accepts/toggles them on?

    Hi,

    We would like to apologize for the late response.

    The local or cookie storage is empty when we initially load the site and the cookie consent bar is also disabled. Did you remove analytics snippet and disable the cookie options?

    We tried to login to the site using the account above but it didn’t work — seems to be invalid. Please provide another user account so that we can check the dashboard.

    please close this ticket. I disabled the privacy banner and am seeking out an alternate solution. GA cookies were being set regardless of what options i selected. This contravened local regulation so the enfold solution wasn’t viable.
