    Some time in the last 1 or 2 .0x releases, my function.php file now has an error. I spoke with my server host and gave them the error messages. They tell me it is in the function.php which points to the theme.
    The error occurs whenever I try to update any plug-in.
    I do not have enough information to know if my vendor 1 & 1 are accurate in pointing to the source of the problem.
    The site has been up, active, and error free for more than 1 year. The problem started after a recent upgrade of Enfold. I am running the latest version and use the Enfold auto-update feature built into the theme. I have made no customizations to the Enfold code.

    Hey!

    Your hosting provide is wrong.
    Please update your php version to more than 5.6 or php 7.0+
    and your issues will be solved.

    You are runing on an old server.

    The site is hosted by 1 & 1 and the version of PHP is 7.0.
    I spoke with them about this and the site was previously running 5.6.

    Hi davevi,

    These errors are most likely due to Layer Slider update, which is in the process of being added to the new version of Enfold update. So if this is not causing any major issues please be patient.
