    Hi,

    I am using Enfold ver. 3.0.4 with WP 4.0.1 and having a problem with my images becoming too large or zoomed in, if you will, when viewed from a computer. When viewing them on a phone or iPad, they are showing the correct aspect. Please have a look. If I minimize my browser some, the images appear correctly, too. I currently have the image size set to Large (1030×1030).

    How can i correct this?

    Thanks!

    Hi kpolka!

    You have the slider set to fullwidth so on large screens it’s going to upscale the image and make it blurry. You’ll want to use bigger images if your going to use a fullwidth slider.

    You can see the image on our demo looks sharp because it is 1500 x 1500, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/.

    An alternative would be to display a slider that is not full width, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v4-small-slider/.

    Regards,

    I am using larger images. The first image in the slider is 5616 × 3744! When you view the site on an iPad, you see the entire image. The other images I had scaled down because when I used larger versions I had the same result. I am also a little confused on the image size setting for the slider. What is its purpose? Also wondering why the images should be a square (i.e., 1500×1500) when full screen?

    Thanks!

    Hey!

    Well.. you could set the background size to 100% and 100% but there are a wide array of screen sizes out there so it will look distorted on some.

    .avia-fullscreen-slider .avia-slideshow > ul > li { background-size: 100% 100% !important; }

    We currently have it set to “cover”. Here is the description on the W3C page, http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_background-size.asp.

    “Scale the background image to be as large as possible so that the background area is completely covered by the background image. Some parts of the background image may not be in view within the background positioning area”

    When displaying full screen it will take up the whole screen width and height so it’s more of a square aspect ratio.

    Cheers!
